Fit a calci plus tablets provide not only essential calcium, but also key vitamins for your puppy, adult or senior dog. Calcium (together with phosphorus) plays an indispensable role in the development of your dog’s bones (maximum bone density) and the development of strong, healthy teeth. In addition, calcium is important for proper blood clotting, muscle contraction and enzyme function.
Correct intake reduces muscle spasms and supports the functions of the nervous system. Calcium reduces allergic reactions, and promotes the neutralisation of acid formation as a result of animal protein intake. It is well known that calcium aids in the absorption of vitamin B12 and iron. Apples contain carotene and pectin. Pectin changes the water content of the stool, increasing its viscosity, so it can be used in the treatment of constipation and diarrhoea. Pectin also helps eliminate toxins from the body. Apple contains essential vitamins such as beta-carotene, vitamin C and B. Incorrect intake of calcium can lead to vitamin D deficiency in young dogs and osteoporosis in adult and old dogs.
Dose: Puppies and young dogs: 80-100 mg/ kg body weight/day. Pregnant and nursing females may be given 20-30% of these levels, for active sports and working dogs this amount may even be doubled. To avoid overdosing, limit feeding to 4-6 weeks followed by a 2 week break.60 tablets per jar
